Manna Vocational training programs are dedicated to empowering vulnerable girls, young women and young men. We provide comprehensive training in Fashion, Design and Tailoring Skills and Computer Literacy Skills, equipping participants with invaluable skills, fostering independence and offering a pathway to a brighter future.
Program Objectives:
- Skill Development: We aim to enhance the employability of vulnerable youth by providing them with high-quality training.
- Economic Empowerment: The program equips participants with the necessary skills to establish their own businesses or secure employment in their respective industries.
- Personal Growth: We nurtures personal development by boosting self-confidence, encouraging creativity, and fostering a sense of accomplishment.
- Access to Tools and Resources: We ensure that all participants have access to the needed resources e.g sewing machines and fabric for tailoring students and computers for computer students.
- Mentoring and Support: Out tutors also mentor the participants and provide guidance, feedback, and ongoing support throughout the training journey.
- Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive a recognized certification, acknowledging their competency in the trained skills.
Manna Fashion, Design $ Tailoring Vocational School
We offer a one year tailoring training program to our participants who are mostly young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds including orphans and out of school girls. We equip them with the necessary skills to pursue a career in the garment industry or start their own tailoring business. By empowering vulnerable girls through our comprehensive tailoring program, we aim to create a positive impact on their lives and enable them to pursue a brighter future.
Program Overview: Duration
1 Year Course Location: Kisumu County
This program offers training to young vulnerable girls as early as teenagers, who are passionate about learning tailoring skills.
Course Curriculum: Our training curriculum is carefully designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The program includes the following modules: Introduction to tailoring, sewing techniques, garment construction, alterations and repairs, personal development and entrepreneurship and business skills.
METHODOLOGY:
Our training program follows a hands-on approach, combining practical exercises, interactive sessions, and real-life projects. Participants have access to modern sewing machines, tools, and materials required for their learning. Experienced instructors guide and mentor the girls throughout the training, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.

We have witnessed remarkable transformations among the lives of the girls. Vulnerable girls who once faced limited opportunities now stand as self-reliant entrepreneurs, contributing to their families’ income and breaking free from cycles of poverty. Certification: Upon successful completion of the training program, participants receive a certificate recognizing their achievement and acquired skills.
EMPOWERMENT: On the day of their graduation, each of the student is empowered with a new sewing machine to help them kickstart their businesses. This program empowers them to break free from the cycle of poverty and exclusion, opening doors to a brighter future filled with opportunities for personal growth, professional success, and community engagement.
